About The Website
See Gettysburg is designed to showcase the photography of Photographer Rick Anderson. I have been traveling to Gettysburg since I was a small child and, over time, have compiled a very extensive catalog of photographs. The landscape surrounding Gettysburg Pennsylvania is, in my opinion, some of the most beautiful landscape found in the eastern United States. Today, it is hard to imagine the horror that these beautiful fields have witnessed. My aim is to capture and document the beauty of this unique landscape. I sincerely hope that my photography can help demonstrate the need to preserve places such as Gettysburg and thus honoring the men who fought so valiantly here.
About Rick Anderson
Rick Anderson was born and raised in the Tidewater Region of Southeastern Virginia.
Being the eldest son of a civil war buff, history has been central in my upbringing. My childhood is full of great memories, including the time spent traveling with my parents and brother. From the many day trips to Williamsburg, or a week spent in Gettysburg, our travels always included a destination with historical significance (very easy to do living in Virginia). I chose Gettysburg as the theme of this project to honor my parents, who taught my brother and I the value of honoring and preserving places such
places. I began taking an interest in photography as a teenager to document the many family outings. Over time my hobby has become a passion, as I rarely leave home today without my camera bag over my shoulder. I
now reside in North Carolina with my family. If I can answer any questions please feel free to
contact me.
